Deafblindness
People with deafblindness may use a Braille display to interact with their computer. (On the other hand, they may not. It depends on the profoundness of both their vision and hearing loss.)
The National Center on Deaf-Blindness offers information and resources on the Deaf-Blindness Overview page on their site.
Design Considerations for Deafblindness
- All of the considerations for Blindness and Low Vision apply.
- All of the considerations for Hearing Disabilities and D/deafness apply
- Transcripts are required because captions and voice tracks may not be sufficient depending on the person's disabilities.
